Jimmy Choo Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway had a distinct vision for the Jimmy Choo FLASH muse and the emotions they wanted the fragrance to evoke. According to Choi and Holloway, “FLASH is about the cool rush of excitement and the sense of power a woman feels when dressed in a pair of sexy shoes. Its character, which is both heady and effervescent, captures this perfectly.”

FLASH is a white floral with a character that is effervescent, carnal and provocative. The perfumer, Christine Nagel says, “I created FLASH for the self-confident, urban Jimmy Choo woman: sexy, rebellious and sophisticated. I imagined the sound of her heels, clicking on the streets of New York, London and Paris.” 

The fragrance opens with pink pepper, tangerine and strawberry, for a fresh, sparkling introduction. As these glittering top notes evaporate, heart notes of strong, exotic white flowers, with a tuberose signature enriched with notes of jasmine and white lily, reveal a heady, sexy character. A base of white, powdery woods gives a lasting impression that is both seductive and sensual, but never too much. “As a brand, Jimmy Choo is so resolutely feminine that the perfume had to have a sensual background. I used white woods, a contemporary note that gives a feminine, sophisticated touch but maintains luminosity,” says Nagel 

“Christine Nagel is a modern artist in fragrance. Her olfactory vernacular is the definition of cool, but her sensibility is always ultra-feminine and luxurious,“says Holloway.

Dr. Hauschka's Make-up in 2013

Darlings, I have been so busy with finding new exciting stories for the blog and shopping for Christmas presents I forgot to tell you about the most anticipated beauty launch for 2013 - Dr. Hauschka's Limited Edition trend make-up collection. Subtle spring colours combined with dramatic, darker tones create a highly-coveted effortless, fresh-faced look with added glamour.

Mousse Applying Tips

I wrongly thought that mousse was outdated and I only saw it on a trip to the hairdressers. Thanks to Trevor Sorbie Art Team's Tips for the perfect mousse application though, now everyday is hairdresser-look day. Do try the following tips and join the club of mousse hair.

Tip One:

Don't squirt a huge ball of Mousse into your hand and apply straight to the hair with your fingers. Instead, apply a little to your palm and then, using a wide-toothed comb, apply a small amount and comb through from the roots.

Tip Two:

To ensure even distribution, section your hair from behind the ears and comb the Mousse through the underneath first and then through the top sections of hair.

Tip Three:

The trick to achieving a natural look and feel is to dry the product in using a hairdryer. Apply using a comb to damp, towel-dried hair, then blast the hair with the dryer and pull your hairbrush from the root to the tip of the hair to ensure a smooth, even finish. You can always apply more product, even to dry hair, again using a hairdryer to dry it into the hair. It makes a great base for up dos.
